My Name is Fábio, I am from Rio de Janeiro

My Name is Fábio, I am from Rio de JaneiroMy name is Fábio, I am from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am making Aliyah with my wife, Fernanda and our daughter, Livia. Aliyah means life in harmony with family.

We went through a lot of difficulties here in Brazil and this was decisive for us to look for an alternative way of life. Making aliyah was the best option. We hope to live with dignity and security in Israel.

The hardest thing about leaving this country is going to a place with a different culture and language, and also the very high financial expenses of making aliyah.

We were stuck in the aliyah process, because of our financial situation due to unemployment and the economic crisis in Brazil. That's when we reached out to Ezra and they were able to help us finalize the documents required by the Jewish agency. When approved, we set the date and traveled, and now we have a new perspective on life in Israel.

We found out about Ezra through friends and the Jewish Agency, who recommended us because they had very positive experiences with the help given by this NGO. Ezra Brasil helped us transport our family and our bags to the airport. It also helped us with financial support and many connections in Israel, practical guidance from the beginning of our life as citizens in Israel, which we did not receive from the Jewish Agency.

We have no words to express our gratitude to Ezra's supporters. How important you were to us and to countless families in the Jewish community in Brazil, for the brilliant work you did with your financial, emotional, and physical support. I never imagined that there could be an NGO with all this love and affection for the Jewish people here in Brazil and around the world. We are grateful for all the support received since the first contact here in Brazil, for the excellent work carried out for the Jewish community, and for this wonderful work to continue for all families.
